Precision optical mirrors (commonly categorized as first-surface aluminum mirrors, dielectric high-reflectance mirrors, and infrared gold-coated mirrors) are optical components engineered to reflect incident light or optical images with maximum spectral efficiency and minimal wavefront distortion.
Functions:
Unlike standard commercial second-surface mirrors that suffer from glass refraction and dual-image ghosting, optical mirrors feature first-surface vacuum metallic or dielectric depositions (PVD-EBGE) on low-expansion optical glass substrates (e.g., SCHOTT B270, Borofloat 33, Fused Silica). First-surface enhanced/protected aluminum mirrors deliver high, uniform reflectance ($R \ge 88\%–92\%$) across the entire visible spectrum. Dielectric high-reflectance (HR) mirrors utilize multi-layer interference coatings to achieve near-total reflection ($R \ge 99.5\%$) for specific laser lines or broadband spectrums. Gold-plated optical mirrors provide exceptional broadband reflectance ($R \ge 96\%–98\%$) throughout the near-infrared and far-infrared regions ($700\text{ nm} - 10.6\ \mu\text{m}$).
Applications:
FTIR spectroscopy
Projection optical engines
Astronomical telescopes
Laser beam steering systems
High-resolution imaging equipment
Optoelectronic measurement systems
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) vision setups

1. Aluminized or gold-plated reflections provide a foundry service that can be supplied by the customer.
2. The aluminized reflector is made of aluminum (AL) plus a multilayer dielectric film for vacuum evaporation. Design and production can be changed according to customer needs.
3. The gold-plated reflector is made of gold (AU) plus a multilayer dielectric film for vacuum evaporation. Design and production can be changed according to customer needs.
4. Coating by PVD-EBGE (Physical Vapor Deposition-Electron Beam Gun Evaporation).
5. The above spectral curve is measured by the incident angle 0.
6. The spectral curve is the measured value of the sample and may vary slightly from manufacturing lot to batch, but conforms to the spectral definition.
