Bandpass filters (categorized into narrow bandpass [NBPF] and wide/broad bandpass filters [BBPF]) are precision thin-film interference optics designed to selectively isolate and transmit a designated spectral band while efficiently reflecting or attenuating out-of-band wavelengths.
Functions:
Engineered via vacuum-deposited dielectric thin films (PVD-EBGE), these filters deliver high peak transmittance within the target passband ($T \ge 85\%–95\%$), steep transition slopes, and deep out-of-band blocking (up to OD4–OD6). They effectively suppress ambient background noise, isolate specific laser emission lines or fluorophore signal wavelengths, and enhance signal-to-noise ratio in optical sensors and machine vision systems.
Applications:
Raman spectroscopy
Biochemical analyzers
LiDAR sensor modules
Laser alignment systems
Fluorescence microscopy
Medical diagnostic instruments
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine vision
